I finished Kaplan Lecture Notes after 4 month of day to day carefully study, I made also Kaplan Qbook who seems to me quite difficult (after finished every subject I was not enable to pass over 60% right). Now I’m with 45 days before the exam and I don’t know what to do. In last week I read Anatomy from First Aid and did 1000 questions from PreTest(anatomy&neuroscience), but I feel that is not a good method to prepare, in PreTest are just a few questions in clinical vignettes format. My material for study is, without Kaplan, PreTest collection(10 books), First Aid,pharma katzung, micro. Made R.S.,bioc. Lippincott and some exam simulated on my PC. It’s OK if I bother only with PreTest & First Aid.(I’m an IMG from East-Europe and I don’t have the possibility to acquire other books in reasonable time).

hi ! i would suggest you to buy one month QBank and make all day long questions. As many as possible print the correct ones & the incorrect ones (those you find them worth reviewing) take notes from your mistakes that will be easy to review some days before the exam learn from your mistakes to clear things out. see in QBank scores where your weak points are. Try to do ONLY set of 50 Q's and NOT by subject ( only anatomy , only micro etc ) best of luck i hope that helps you and no panic is a suggestion

Hi Vai, Your prep. time plus study materials looks fine. With 60% present score,I don't think u will fail ( most probably will not get good score though).I just want to mention one thing here...You didn' mention Goljan in your study materials...I hope you can find it from somewhere( it was available at coolgoose.com under papi name in music section !!)...but don't know present situation !With help of Goljan ,you can review everything very well OR if you can have a review of Step Up ( which is system based).and like FA...but if not ..Q BANK advice seems very good. I am not through step1 yet...all my advice is based on other people's advice and which I think is good.Be confident.and GOOD LUCK niti

Yo I gave josh some advice not too long ago, which he claims has helped him make major leaps with his scores. I think the numbers were like 50-60's, to like 80's, and some 90's. Anyhow, I have also mailed a few others this same message, and they all rave about the effectiveness of it. The start of the posting discusses other exam study methods that you might find useful. The part I think might be useful for you is about 1/2 way down the post. It is a reply to josh2004. http://www.prep4usmle.com/community/topic9976.htm... Well, let me know what you think. Lotsaluck. Peace Lo
