Question 10.
Select one "bug" that is a gram-negative rod related to the respiratory tract ?
A.Haemophilus
B.Klebsiella
C.Pseudomonas
D.Bacterioides

Could someone help me to understand why choice A given as the right option? Because both Klebsiella and Pseudomonas stain Gram-negative and can cause respiratory tract disease as well.

Hi,
There is a table in the Levinson book with the classification of gram negative rods related to digestive tract, respiratory tract, zoonotic bacteria .... and this is what I used for this question.
If you have the same book please correct me.

Regards!

I am just saying that there is more than 1 good answer.
I surely have the book, 5th edition. The table you probably referring to puts Hemophilus, Legionella and Bordetella together as bugs with source of site of infection in Respiratory Tract. The same table states source of infection site for Klebsiella and Pseudomonas outside of enteric tract. And if you think about it Klebsiella does cause pneumonia, and Pseudomonas can cause infection anywhere, including respiratory tract infections (in cystic fibrosis patients classically for example). So you can't say these are not related to respiratory tract.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
