personally, i think enrolling at kaplan for step 1 was the best decision i made while reviewing for the USMLES  the books, in my opinion, are not as effective unless you go through them in conjunction with the videos at the kaplan center. and makati was such a conducive place for studying.
the price though is enough to kill you, haha! and that doesn't include the transportation and food expenses.
which is why i didnt enroll for review for step 2 anymore
but still, what i learned from kaplan step 1 center review really stayed with me and carried me through the other steps

by the way, moved to the US after i finished my kaplan course for step 1 in makati... so once here, couldn't afford the next courses na it's in dollars$$$$$ na kasi e
