I also work as medical assistant... pero what's preceptor medical assistant? Did you talk to the doctor that that would be your preceptorship at the same time?

what if I just worked as MA and I don't have an arrangement with the doctor about preceptorships? is that considered as US clin. exp?

D I graduated in 1991, graduated from Pediatrics 1996, and practiced for 5 years. Am in Baltimore, MD and planning to take step 1( passed step 2 already). Any tips w/c books would really be helpful? Have the Kaplan books already.

How did you get into MA? Did you have to study here? I have a fulltime job at Hopkins preparing kids for surgery, etc...

Hi there,

Graduated from MCU 1993 and from New Zealand. Used to work full time as a Microbiology technician but decided I needed more time to study since I haven't been practicing for 9 years. So gave up my job and I think that was a really good move. Lesser stress and heaps of time.

Anyone else from New Zealand?

FAR EASTGRAPPLER........Im looking for anyone around North Carolina. I figured West Virginia was close enough with the kind of luck i've been having trying to find anyone near me. I'm basically hoping i can find a study partner to help jump start my studying. As of now im trying to complete the Goljan audios. I soon plan to start physio in the coming weeks.

i've been studying on and off. i'm reading FA pharma. i hope to have a more rigid schedule when it comes to studying. i work 3-4 days per week, 12- hour shifts that's why it's really so hard to keep up. when do you plan to take the test?
