Hello. I graduated in 2002 as a general physician, worked for one and a half years, and took this last year off. I've been trying to start studying for Step 1 but I was not very motivated at the beginning. Now I feel I have more motivation, but I keep procrastinating... I bought all the books I need including First Aid but whenever I sit down to study, I don't know how or where to start and I just stress :? ! Can someone give me some words of inspiration or a little kick in the rear  , and suggest me how to start.. Thanks

Many programs want you to be no more than 2-3 years from graduation to start. Others are 5 years. There are some that don't care, but really, get going and don't waste time, every year you waste you lose options ....
