I have posted A QUESTION on this forum that I felt important under various names and I never recieve any answer. Though all of you read my ad no one could post something, I guess y'all are too busy to deserve a litte help, I don't understand how silliest menssages recieve the most answers.
I usually try to find some time to help the most desperate and others with my own's experiences...Can anyone help me please?
i AM DESPERATE...DOES ANYONE HAS EXPERIENCE USING WEBSITE TO WRITE/EDIT PERSONAL STATEMENT? HOW MUCH? WHICH ONE?
DOES ANYONE HAVE EXPERIENCE USING www.residencyand fellowhip.com, www.essayedge.com, www.pgy1md.com?

I'll step up and reply with my opinion.
I did not use either of the web sites you ask about.
My opinion is that many of these web sites (yes, even Kaplan) are expensive wastes of money that take advantage of foreign medical graduates.
I don't think you have to pay to get good advice. I suggest you obtain copies of personal statements from colleagues, current residents or fellows to help guide you on writing your own personal statement.
When writing my own personal statement, I chose a few people(good writers) to read and critique. I also gave a copy to two faculty to critique.
All these people gave great input and I incorporated some of their edits.
In the end, I thought I had a great personal statement that was personal and not a re-hash of what was already on my curriculum vitae.

That's my fear if using one of those website... You may waste your money and you don't get a very well jobe done.

hello everyone.
just wanted to let you know my opinion about essayedge. I did use for my peds statement. I have been working on it on my own for almost a week and my husband who is an american and is very good in writing resumes/cover letters/personal statements helped me a lot with it. After that I Sent it to the editor, which I agree is pretty expensive. A week later after interactions and corrections, My personal statement looked SO MUCH BETTER!!! Even my husband agreed it was worth the money.
Everyone of course have their own opinion. If you feel you expressed yourself in your personal statement the way that it would grab residency program directors attention among all the other hundreds PS's then all I can do is to wish everybody good luck.

NO website. Trust me...write your own story in your own words. If want get some language corrections with some one already good at it.

some community colleges have writing centers. if u r in US, u can consult one of them in your area.

Also I know that raficonsulting.com has a really good service that is worth the money and can make a big improvement in your writing.
