I'm finishing 6 years of US stay on my H4 visa. I can continue my US stay on H4 beyond 6 years due to my husband's Green Card processing. He is on H1B. I got ECFMG certified and applying for residency now.
Now if I join residency (if i get it!!) am I eligible to get an H1 visa? If my earlier 6 years stay bars me from getting an H1, am I eligible for J1 atleast?
Can my husband switch from his H1 to J2 and continue his job? Ofcourse we would have to forfeit the GC processing.
