A lady in her first trimester of pregnancy is found to have asymptomatic bacteriuria?
what antibiotics need to be given? and how do you manage her if she was not pregnant?
in the above case, the pregnant lady was given appropriate antibiotics, but her bacteriuria returned . how do u treat her?

1) Give Nitrofurantoin or Amoxicillin. No treatment needed if no pregnant.
2) Treatment continues throughout the rest of pregnancy.
