answer-a cefadroxil has some gram negative coverage proteus,e.coli, kleb
(peck)

the last 2 are out:
tetracycline -mottling of the teeth
ceftriazone--(killing a fly with a hammer) not usually given for uti's, also its I.M.
PCN-not enough coverage for gram negatives
cotrimazole-agranulocytosis,blood dyscrasias

:icon_salut: great reasoning mjl!!
lets also mention the risk for kernicterus in newborn, with Cotrimoxazole.
Ceftriaxone would work in this case but it can only be administered parenterally...as u said. y is oral adm so important in pregnancy?
