this is what was my opinion as well but FA has some other opinion. it says its citrate synthase!!

mani can u tell me on which page of FA this is written.i didn't read that. i think also isocitrate dehydrogenase is major control enzyme. in KAPLAN also it's same isocitrate dehydrogenase.

Lippincott states isocitrate dehydrogenae is ONE of the rate limiting steps. Citrate synthatase as you say and even alpha ketoglutarate dehydrogenase are also rate limiting steps. (all are inhibited by NADH.ATP,etc.?) *These 3 are most important.
