Hi folks, bbb,

All my LoRs are from professors and lecturers at my med school (Indonesia). I'm glad that I have them and I've used them to apply to ERAS and so far I already got 2 calls, one from a university program.

I'm just wondering though. Before I applied to ERAS, some of Indonesian residents in US told me to have at least 3 US LoRs before applying. Now, since bbb is also program coordinator, I would like to know what would actually first come up in your mind if you encounter foreign LoRs? Will you trash it instantly or what?

I'm asking this also because I only get 2 calls out of 60+ programs that I've applied to. And I know more than 5 programs on my list have started sending interview calls, yet I only received 2 calls.

Thank you, good luck to all and keep up the faith.

Well, since I haven't started to send out interview calls yet, I wouldn't worry too much there.

Letters from overseas? What's the problem? If you don't have US clinical experience, where else would your letters come from????

Dear BBB,

I have a great letter of recommendation from our physicist. We have done some research work together. I am applying to radiology programs, they often have physicist working for the department and running research projects.
So, my question is, how do Program Directors look at LORs from PhDs?
Appreciate your help,
Yulia

As long as it's a good letter, use it.....
