Hi,
Is it important to do an elective?? Do i need to do an elective in the hospital i´m planning to apply?? Do they provide letters of recommentdation after it??

in short yes it is important and very helpful to have US experience as a student, and it is always best to do it at the program to which you are applying. Is it necessary, no, but many programs do require some US experience.
