Membrane potential and neuronal function are important physiologic concepts that underlie many neurological diseases and disorders. In this presentation, Dr. Sheakley will describe the regulation of these processes, and illustrate their clinical importance for USMLE Step 1.
About the professor:
Dr. Sheakley received her PhD at Kent State University in the department of Biomedical Sciences in the area of Molecular Physiology. She is associate professor of Biomedical Sciences at Western Michigan University and her areas of expertise is cardiovascular physiology. She has 18 peer-reviewed publications and numerous abstracts, and is currently co-authoring a high yield USMLE Step 1 Physiology question book.
