ANYONE ..any img who has given step 3 ??
does anyone know how essential is it to clear step 3 before application...does it have any ..any consequence at all ??

HI.
It depands on what kind of visa u need.
it s essential if u r for H1B visa. otherwise, u can take it during residency.

If you will be trying for an H1b visa, you need step 3 results in your hand prior to applying.

If you don't need a visa, or will accept a J visa, you can wait until you have gotten your residency position.
