CT scan indications in trauma setting: Uncle Nelson ARgues ABout Kids Unconcious pt after head trauma Neck injury; to confirm vertebral fracture when Xray is equivocal Aortic Rupture (after Xray, Before Aortogram) Abdominal penetrating wound; when gloved finger in ER cant say for sure if theres penetration Kidney injury leading to blood in urine; blunt abdominal trauma ----- hope it helps !!

Hi, mdwannabe acutually wound is after trombophebitis. Wind (atelectasis) Water (UTI) Walk (thrombophlebitis) Wound (infected) Wonder where (abscess) Wonder drugs. The way I remeber the order it's thinking about Katrina (the Hurricane, not that bully girl from highschool)... First, the Wind then the Rain (Water) then you run (walk) then you trip and fall (Wound), and you Wonder what happened now just add the day it presents with ascending odd numbers 1 3 5 7 (10 for abscess) For drug there is no day, can be from day one, you suspect drugs after you rule out other causes. hope it helps
