Did UW 3 weeks before the exam, and yes, Qbank is worthy... the difficulty is milder but you have less time per question... the bottom line is do as much MCQ´s as you can.

Step 2 CK score: 95/235 USMLE CD: didn't do NBME: didn't do Kaplan Qbank: didn't do USMLE World: 67.8% I only used Kaplan lecture notes and UW. I studied for 5 weeks but I had read some of the kaplan lecture notes before I started my review during my clinical rotations. I did 2000Q from UW mainly in untimed mode discipline based...OB, peds, medicine, surgery, psych right after I had read the section in kaplan. I did the Qs in sets of 25, sometimes more sometimes less. I read the kaplan notes about 3-4 times total.

Studied lightly (0-2 hrs/day) for 6 months (during clinical rotations) and then studied hard core for 1.5 months (>8hrs/day), Played 18 holes of golf at least twice a week througout

CK: 279/99 Used USMLE World all third year to study for shelf exams, inaccurate to report percentages because did in tutor mode. Read Kaplan lecture notes and used kaplan q-book and q-bank throughout third year, as well. 4-5 days of prep time. NBME Form 1 770 NBME Form 2 800 NBME Form 3 750 I would highly recommend to any third year starting out to pay the ridiculous amount of money that I did throughout the year for USMLE World. Did not pay for Kaplan Q-Bank, though. Anyway, nice blog. Take care and good luck to you all. ryman

234/95 NBME 1: 550 (229/93) - 3 weeks out NBME 2: 590 (237/96) - 1 week out NBME 3: Ran out of time to take it USMLEWorld: 61% - completed 2 days before exam (projects out to 218 according to Score Estimator) Read my Kaplan Live Step 2CK course notes the 2 days before the exam. (Took Kaplan's Live Lecture course. Highly recommend it as a baseline. Way better to take the course than read those huge dry books. Much more focused and to the point.)
