4 months preparation.
Read Kaplan notes twice, first aid & crush the boards
USMLEWORLD 55% (finished 6 weeks before exam). I think learning from the explanations is more important than your score.
Kaplan Simulated exam 79% (1 week before exam)
NBME form 1 770 (2 weeks before exam)
NBME form 2 610 (10 days before exam)

Step 2 CK score: 247/99
USMLEWORLD: 61% (all divisions, timed, unused only, started 1 1/2 month before exam) after I finished all unused questions I did about 10 tests with only incorrect ones and the average went up to 65%.
USMLE CD: 42 / 42 / 40 = 90% (1 week before exam)
NBME Parts I and II: 650 and 600 respectively (few days before exam...very accurate predictors). :wink:

UW - 65.5% (1st round, timed, randomly chosen Qs)
Kaplan Qbank - 75-80%
NBME form 1 - 680
Step 2CK - 266/99
I thought my score was impressive. But looks like most folks get 99 :-) Good luck to all of us.

step 2 ck score 261/99
kaplan q bank - 75-80%
BLUE PRINTS MCQS- 75-80%
UW - 72% IN FIRST IME THEN I AGAN TAKE UW FOR REVISION FOR JUST 1 WK.
NBME FORM TWO - 650/(EQUAL TO 250).
I TOOK 6 MONTHS TO PREP. BUT IT WAS VERY OFF AND ON ,SO IF U GIVE REGULARLY 4-5 HRS UCAN DO IT IN 4-5 MONTS WITH 8HRS IN LAST MONTH.
I DID KAPLAN NOTES IN DETAIL
,ALSO JUST A READING OF BLUE PRINTS & CLINICAL VIGNETTE
THEN UW IN DETAIL.
UW IS GREAT AND MANDATORY
IN LAST4-5 DAYS I DID A REVIEW OF CRUSH THE BOARD & ALSO SOME THING FROM BOARDS & WARDS.

I got my ck result today.I studied lil less than 5 months with breaks.Used kaplan lecture notes and UW only.Few blocks from q book and kaplan simulated cd.
step 2 ck score:91/225
Usmleworld: 1st go 58%. 2nd go 67%(including incorrect and all revision)
USMLE cd:37/46,42/46/&37/46 (Total 84%)
Qbook : 6-7 blocks ranging from 62to86%
Kaplan cd: 3 block 74,58 and 60 (I am guessing here don't remember exactely)
I did not do NBME,NMS and or kaplan Qbank
 correction: just checked I have done 13 bloks of Q book not 6-7.

UW: 67% mixed, timed, 46q blocks, done w 70% of it.
Kaplan Qbank: 75%, done w/60% of it.
Kaplan simulated: 75%
NBME 1 : 240
NBME 2: 241
REAL TEST: 241/97
AN ADVICE: NBME IS THE MOST ACCURATE TOOL. THE TEST IS COMPLETELY DOABLE AND EASIER THAN UW (THE ONLY THING IS THAT UW DOESN'T HAVE EXPERIMENTAL QUESTIONS THAT MIGHT FREAK U OUT DURING THE TEST, AS THE REAL TEST DOES!)
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO UNDERSTAND THE BASIC PRINCIPLES OF DISEASE AND MANAGEMENT. GET A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP THE NIGHT BEFORE (IF YOU HAVE A CRAZY SCHEDULE LIKE MINE, TRY TO CHANGE IT AT LEAST 1 WEEK BEFORE THE TEST, I TRIED THE DAY BEFORE AND DID THE TEST WITH ONLY 1 HOUR OF SLEEP, NOT ADVISABLE!!!)
A FINAL WORD, BE CONFIDENT. STEP 2 IS NOT A DIFFICULT TEST, JUST PRACTICE A LOT, DO WHATEVER MAKES IT EASIER (PRAYING, SPORTS, A BEER ONCE IN A WHILE WON'T HARM ) TRY TO ENJOY IT AND IT WILL BE OK!
