I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I am new to this forum and am not sure what everyone means by the USMLE CD. Is it something provided by NBME? I am an AMG studying for step 1. Thanks in advance! pinkangel

I think most people refer as USMLE CD to the material the ECFMG sends you with your orange permit, once your application has been accepted. The CD contains a simulation of the test, so that you get a self assesment of how well are you doing, and also get familiar with the computer interface. Regards.

Thanks Trifudis! I guess it is the equivalent to the online downloadable version provided by NBME. I am an AMG who just received my orange permit this week with no CD. pinkangel420
