Hi everyone
I am a postgraduate from India , worked in india for 14yrs as medical officer. now shifted to usa. step 1 score 235. now preparing for step 2. am confident of scoring fairly well, but I have no experience or connections in the us.
will my years of practice/job as govt. medical officer count for or against me in residency match?
I am on L2 visa(allowed to work). with green card in process.

Hi there!

I am taking MD final exams next week (Psychiatry) and will be starting my usmle prep thereafter. I am in the same boat! Don't worry, everyone told me just focus on your step scores, and if you have done your PG in Psychiatry, it will boost your CV!

235 is a excellent score for Psychiatry, I'd be happy with any score above 230 honestly. Don't worry, you'll get interviews!
