Hearts in Atlantis - Stephen King

  #2

What is it about?

  #3

Hi Bravo-man , You and me have completealy different taste for movies so it is probably the same thing with books.
But I think that you could like this one.The best is the first one about the friendship of a boy and an old man who is hunted buy "Low Men in Yellow Coats" if you read King.s Dark tower books this will be extremely interesting for you.
Next 3 stories are about Vietnam and the second one is very interesting , about the students who at the edge of their academic fiasco. And the third story about strange blind man is something that could come out only from King's brain.
In the last we again see the boy (but he is not boy any more) from the first story.
This is not a clasic King but it is excelent.

A GREAT One: The House of God by Samuel Sham!!!!!!!

Other than our step 1 books, of course,
Chuck Palahunek's Fight Club. Yes, I'm sure we all saw the movie, but the book is much more in depth with each scene and has a much more clever ending.
Also, House of God is definitely a must read for residents.

All you guys preparing for residency should read this book. Its bit old but awesome.

"The making of a surgeon"

Its about the experiences of a real surgeon during his residency in a NY city hospital.

Bluntly real and you will find it so true cuz u see those things all the time in your med schools and than residency.

It's located in like the year 27,000. So there's this mathermathic scientist ho develops a science called pshycohistory, wich consists in that he can predict the future, but with mathemathical calculations and tendencies. But it's tree books, so there's alot more to the story , I highly encourage you to read it. The tree books are called.1- Foundation, 2-Foundation and Empire,3- Second Foundation. PRETTY INTERESTING BOOKS.
