u r right mj... but can u tell me the significance of the rectal examination... is it like that ....everytime u palpate a mass per rectally...it is...ca prostate...can u elaborate??? thanx in advance

If you palpate a firm nodule the yield of it being prostate ca. is about 10 to 20% with DRE. If you do a DRE and PSAand their both positive the yield of it being prostate ca. is 60-70%
