are NMDA & AMPA are subtypes of glutamate receptors?
or are they totally diffreent/

i agree that NMDA is subtype of glutamate receptor.

but i don't know about AMPA.this stands for what?
pls mani reply.

a type of glutamate receptor that participates in excitatory neurotransmission, acts as a cation channel. also binds gamma amino amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazole propionic acid (AMPA)
