Indic. x CABG:
1.Left main coronary art. dse. or 3 vessel dse. & LV dysfxn.
2.those refractory to med. therapy
3.pts. w/ severe s.e. of med. mgt.
4.more effective in those w/ Diabetes
5. pts. involved in public safety(e.g. airline pilot)
w/ sxs. of CAD(goes directly to this)
W/ PTCA- now becoming a standard procedure
easier procedure but more restenosis
w/ this procedure, remember to give pts.
ASA w/ Ticlid or Glycoprotein11b/111a inhibitors.
-useful for significant lesions other than those elig. for CABG
