I took on Step I exam on sep 2nd, today I tried to sign for Step II CS.
Step II CS schdule was possible. This means pass Step I.
Please answer me ? Thank you.

hi how you doing,, i dont think so because even before taking my exam on the same day you did, i signed up for step 2 cs and it let me do it, i dont know if they are allowing people to do it now,, but as i said b4 taking step 1 i was able to sign up for step 2 cs,,, im just like yyou waiting for my result on fire... hopefully we pass...

Only when it says (on oasis) that your score has been reported, you can try oasis trick and try to register for step 1 again, if you pass (sure you will) then they will not let you register for step 1 again (or you can try for CS, but your score need to be reported in order to try oasis trick in any case, I guess!).

Actually from September 1,2004 new rules for Step 2CS apply regarding CS exam prerequisitives - one may register for Step 2CS without previously passed Step 1.

yeah but from jan of 2005, u dont need to pass step 1or step2 to apply for CS. the step1 prerequisite requirement will be lifted but its not available right now. i have passed step2CK in the past and coupla weeks ago, tried to register for step2 CS and it didnt let me saying i need to pass step1 first.
so for now, that requirement still exists.

Try again. I also had the same experience but from September 1, 2004 I was able to register for CS when my Step 1 result was not known.

Hey Saria, you took it on sept. 2 that is a thurs. I think you may have to wait a little longer for the result because I heard they release the scores for everybody in a particular week on wed. so ppl who took it on thurs, fri, sat,sun...will be waiting for the NEXT wed to come around. As oppose to a person who took it on a Wed. the result will be reported in 3 weeks on the wed.

hey nash, thanx for the help but im not good in calculating that kind of stuff,,, bad at it :roll: , so if i took it on the 2nd of september, when should i expect it ? or what day more or less do you expect it to be reported on oasis.....

Saria, yeah I think my post was confusing. Sorry. O.K, So you've taken it Sept 2 . I would say the result will be reported on Wed. Sep 29 and Oasis will be updated by Thurs. morning and You will receive it in the mail 3 or 4 days later depending on where you live. Most people receive their results in the mail on Sat. because they are posted on Wed.

hey nash, thanx , i was thinking about the 22 of this month,the 3rd week after exam,, well, i guess a week more wouldnt kill.lol but hopefully we all pass, let me know when you get yours, ok

O.k I'll let you know, I think mine will be reported this Wed. or Thurs. I know its frustrating to wait, I think if you had taken the exam on Sept 1, (wed) you would have the result this week. They say Thurs. test takers are the people who wait the longest. I could be wrong, and hope for your sake that I am, so keep on checking oasis everyday this week too, you might get Lucky.
