 Should i apply surgery residency

Hi fri

I am an IMG doctor and i do not have US LOR . Should i apply to surgery residency?What are my chances? if so, which states should i apply for an IMG?

After you have graduated medical school and have decided that you want to follow a career within surgery you will need to apply for a residency to gain the required experience to practice as a surgeon. You will need to find a residency program that will provide you with the necessary experience of surgery as well as provide you with top quality mentors to help you to develop your skills. What about if someone is already specialist surgeon in his home country and got green card with high marks also in USMLE?? Would that make diffrence?

Surgery residency programs are highly competitive so you need to ensure that your surgery residency personal statement is written in a way that it will really impress those making the decisions.
