At the blood donor center, will you be interacting with the donors at all? In the research position, what will the contact be? What are you trying to add to your CV? Research or patient contact? That's a answer you will know.

Thanks for the reply. At the blood donor center, I will be screening blood donors and then taking their blood. Can it be counted as patient contact? Please suggest which of the two (Research or patient contact)will look better on my CV, which is better?

It's patient contact, yes. But it's not educational. Which would look better? 50-50 split. (Sorry, no help here)

I hope I am not repeating things , but I came across new things. would working as a medical assistant ( in a doctor's office , taking vitals , asking patients some questions , doing ekg's and stuff like that and maybe even doing phlebotomies )count as clinical experience ? plus the doc may even agree to write a LOR, thanks
