Hi everyone,

We have some renal biopsies of rats in a toxicologic pathology test, and we found cysts in the kidneys. Someone considered that it probably caused by calcification.

I've never worked with rats. If anyone could help me out and tell me what is causing the tissue to have lesions in it I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks in advance.

After 30 days, 4 out of 10 cases of the medication group showed this kind of disease, while there was no significant change observed in control group.

The big question is the abnormal tubular.

Some more description:
Figure.1 (HE staining, magnification:40): longitudinal section of the kidney (consists of renal tubulars in the center and spherical glomerulus near the edge), with a cyst in the upper left corner.

Fig.2 (magnification:100), Fig.3 (200) and Fig.8 (400): more clear close-up of the cyst.

Fig.4(100), Fig.5-7(400):abnormal tubulars, stained in blue colour.
