A 16 yr old boy complains of several months of swelling but no pain just above his testicle .He is sexually active but states that he uses condoms .On physical exam ,he has a mass along the spermatic cord that feels like a "bag of worms" . Which of the following is appropriate for this condition
a...doppler flow study of testes
b...radionuclide scan of testes
c...urinalysis & culture
d...ceftriaxone i/m & doxy orally
e..reassurance & education only at this time

I`D SAY DOPPLER ULTRASONOGRAPHY TO DETERMINE IF THER IS ANY TESTICULAR VOLUME LOSS AS THIS WOULD DETERMINE DOING SURGERY .
JUST REASSURING THE PATIENT WITH THAT SIZE OF VARICOCELE I`M NOT SURE ABT

letter E. you do high-resolution color-flow Doppler ultrasonography when you are unsure of your PE or if there is concomittant pain, sudden onset of varicocele or non reduction. Surgery may or not be performed
