have some queries related to LORS.

1) The importance of waiving right to see LOR..does it really matter? As the program director can view this info.

2)Does my LOR author need to type the letter themselves...I mean they are busy and they give me a hand written LOR which they expect me to type?

Not yet got my LOR request form printed because I had these silly doubts.. smiling face

Am I the only one applying in paeds for 2014... seems to me... this forum seems dead to me wink

1. it matters. waived lor>>>>

2. they give the letters to their residency secretaries/ department secretaries to type.
And note that in the USA a lot of faculty type their clinical rounds notes so spending time to write a LOR by hand is actually a waste of the time. Some of them will type it themselves as it is faster. In america most pple are electronic savy except for the very old professors
