English Translations
The translation must be prepared by and certified to be correct by a government official, medical school official, or recognized translation service, you can find several in many cities in the US. The translation must appear on official stationery, must identify the translator, and must bear the signature of the official or representative of the translation service. A copy of the document from which the translation was made must accompany the translation.
Regarding photographs all I know is they must be 2 recent wallet-sized full face photo (the kind you would use for a passport or driver's license) approximately 2.5 in x 3.5 in (6.5 cm x 9 cm).
Effective February 1, 2004, applicants for ECFMG Certification must also submit two photocopies of the final medical school transcript

Does the transcript have to be translated as well? :?:

You must submit the copies of the final medical diploma and final medical school transcript, in the original language, containing the issue date and all of the appropriate signatures of the medical school and / or university officials. Documents that are not in English must be accompanied by an official English translation. :icon_salut:

That is correct for ECFMG Certification you must submit two photocopies of the final medical school transcript with translation, the same goes for the Diploma.

Well, there is something I would like to ask. I have heard that when you are giving your residency´s social service and USA is in a war, the latins and IMG are rather sent than the norteamericans. Is that truth? (in the past war with Irak, there were many interviews with south americans soldiers)

chema,
Only active military are sent to war, usually and in some cases also the reserves. Only physicians from the military go to war. It has been herd that soldiers and doctors from other countries are interview and are offered a decent salary to go to war on behalf of the US but to this day I have not met anyone who has gone to war as a soldier or physician for the US. And I know people in Mexico who have volunteer to go to war but have not been accepted in the military for not being a US resident or citizen. Therefore only members of the US forces go to war on behalf of the US.

Also remember not to send in your original diploma or grades!! Only copies!! if they get lost they cannot be replace!!

In the yellow pages of the town of residence, you can find an official translator.

This I can answer because of my years working as a civilian for the US Army. Many of the soldiers that I work with are Latin this is true. Many Latinos and Latinas join the military because it is a good paying job that will help them in the future with business skills and repayment of college loans. I worked with persons from Texas, Los Angeles, Puerto Rico and many other places. There were also many, many non- Hispanic persons in the military.

Good luck!
