what do you mean with "bad"??? :?: numbers?have you failed or passed with a low score In the first case-passed with a low score- relax and make your best efforts for step 2!Actually step 2 is counting more in getting residency than step 1. If you have failed, then think what might have been wrong in your preparation and head on for a top score!! 8) Regards

Hi, my score was also not very good and I am trying to figure out how that will impact my search for a residency. I got a score of 79, which is just a little above the passmark. What is the impact of that?

Hello there, That's what you got and you have to thank God that He has given u that score....Just know that u r not alone as there are people who scored below your marks ie.<79 and people who struggled to get 75 but didn't and life goes on....So u r lucky Be happy with ur score life is like that, we would all like to score 99 but nature doesn't allow us. All you have to think now is on how to score better in step 2, prepare effectively and pray that things go well so that u can get a residency. Be happy for it !

It is pretty intimidating to see so many people socre way over 200 and then you come in with your 190's. You are right though, need to focus on doing really well in STEP 2. I had to work almost full time while preparing for the exams and my prepartion was not as good as it should have been. Unfortunately have to keep working and studying for the Step 2 as well. However, for everyone esle out there, I passed my exams working a 30 hr week, after leaving med.school 3 years ago. I really didn't think I could even pass, but I did. This is a testimonial to the fact that the exams aren't as hard as we think they are and as long as you didn't goof away your time in school your odds of passing are a lot higher than the odds of failing. Good luck to everyone who is taking the exams - you can do it!

Perse if you pass who cares about the score, to many people would like just pass, If you pass YOU HAVE ALL MY RESPECT, do not get intimidated with 90 man in real life that does not count . CHEERS.
