Hello guys and gals I am doing the usmle world q bank now(I already did 1000q). Getting mostly on the seventies, five tests on the sixties and 5 tests just 80(Averaging at 73 so far).I am 24 days away from my exam date and am getting anxious about my inconsistent results. Does any body have any idea about how results on this usmle world q bank correlate with the real test. What do you guys advice me given the bove performance on this Q bank.Shall I postpone my date or go for it?????

Hey son! Before desiding anyhting why don't you do NBME form at least......that will you give you the best correlation.........not USMLEWORLD nor kaplan q bank scores uncomparable with the real thing.. ......Do NBME and see where you stand first!!!!!! Good luck!

ELM, but NBME is just 4 sections. Are you sure it accurately represents Stp2 scores?

Thanks everybody again. But I dont want to take the exam before I am sure that I will do good on the exam. That is why I want to know where I stand right now. I averaged 80 on kaplan q bank but I was not comfortable with that becuase I used their review books and most of the Qs seem to be taken from the books directly. I also did NMS and averaged 75. So far averaging 73 on usmle world. Can anybady tell me(from experiance or experience of froiends) about how well I might do on the real exam?

I am telling you that NBME is the closest to the real exam...... becuase they use the qs from real test's q pool...........or at least q that used on the exams before and retired resently....nothing else could be closer than that!!!!!!!!!! Even from people's experience NBME is the closest to the real!!!! From my Step 1 experience.....IT WAS!!!!! I took the both forms and it's score correlated pretty accurate!!!! Kaplan was closer to the test....but it wasn't like NBME!!!!! What else can i say??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck!

Hey ELM! Thankyou. But I invested too much on this step and I cant afford to buy anything anymore. I just want to know where I stand based on my results on NMS,kaplan and usmle world q banks.

dude, u should spend a little more and do the nbme test..it will tell u exactly where u stand. with these scores , u look good on paper, but elm is right , u cant solely look at these scores for confidence. if i were u, id spend a little more and take it. the choice is ures ultimately. tc smokey.
