Hi,

I am new. Thinking of taking board exam, but feel a little bit scared about Anatomy. I graduated 10 years ago, pretty much forget all the details...

Can anybody recommend a good Anatomy Text Book (hope it's not Gray's Anatomy) ? I will see if I can catch up on it and make decision of going or not going for it...

Thanks a lot!

i have big moore 1100p (clinically oriented anatomy - the best one out there)
but there is a smaller version by moore called essential clinical anatomy i heard it is good

those can be used as reference

but if you want something to read cover to cover you can try one of these

Clinical Anatomy: An Illustrated Review with Questions and Explanations 4th ed (snell)

i f you are scared and have to make a decision to take the board then
dont take it doing other things in your life you have to WANT to take
it okay and if you would do a little research you would know that
anatomy the subject you are afraid of is tops 10 percent of any usmle
exam you have 90 percent to worry about idiot grin

Kindly attitudes. Id agree below Greys- Moore or Snell would be sufficient.
Also Pansky and House which I still have is good.
As said its a small part of Step1. You CAN get a Hi Yield out of Anatomy, but you have to study the "wide world of anatomy" which includes:
Gross, Neuro, embryo, Histology, Cell and Molecular Bio including genetics. {Can be done but very voluminous and probably the most difficult way}

I like Snell. Gray's is not so much my taste. There are some excellent web sites, but I note that they are linked elsewhere on this site.
