I hate to say it but Id probably do this ambiguous subject by process of elimination:
Identification-she is not emulating someone else
Projection-it seems like she is attributing thoughts or emotions to someone
else
Rationalaztion- Its not an example of the fox and the grapes or acceptable in this instance
Regression-She didnt become more infantile
Sublimation-an unacceptable impulse is channeled into a socially acceptable impulse(Not true here)
**I go with projection / my 2nd choice is sublimation
