What I remember from the webprep kaplan audio was that if they ask you a question like this about what age a kid can possibly be able to do something, pick the Youngest age, being that the latest research suggests the capability beyond adult expectation.
I would go with 10 mos, just knowing that kids in the third world have been trained at 6 mos even.

I had the test few days ago and missed a stupidly easy quest. that I had never come accross. I'll be vague because I know you are not supposed to tell exact q's....But basically I read so much about "patient right's, and wishes and religous conviction" that THey asked what should a Doc do If he had a religous conviction against a particular type of treatment. .....I missed it , cuz it I didn't realize that Doctors also have the right to refuse treatment on those grounds. Qbank kept buzzing about how "referring the patient is NEVER the correct answer.....and that cost me a point.!!

I just did that Q today from the QBook and in the answers they were explaining that the nerves are not completely myelinated and there isn't control of the sphincter yet, so answer was 19 months. I am sorry if I'm not very coherent, but I'm just super super tired.
G'night!
A.

It should be D. I am lucky to have a 4 year old boy pretty much follow the regular development chart

  #9

it would be 19 months because it is asking "successful".. if it asked "possible" then I would have gone with the first choice.

Final word -19 months:

Corticospinal and Babinski usually wont function or occur (as friscan ,adeelmd and the others are saying ) until there is full myelination -at the end of the 2nd postnatal year.
