I am an IMG who graduated in 96. After many years I decided to sit for my boards and gave Step 1 in July. I studied for about 4mths using Kaplan notes and FA. I got my result and got a 66 which really sucks. I am totally out of it and feel burned out and irate. I wonder what I did wrong or where I went wrong. Im having a hard time mentally getting myself back to the idea of sitting for the exam with the fear that I might one fail again as how much can I increase my score

Need some well need something smiling face

Hi... please don't feel bad =; It just mean you have a chance of getting a very high score. If you just barely passed... you'll not have the chance to get a score around 90's. They said the KEY to any examination is PREPARATION with enough confidence + PRAYERS. I said enough confidence because over confidence can be a caused for failure. Just think about your chance to get a much higher score.

I'm an IMG too... batch 98. Good luck to you smiling face

Hey do not give up, this test is to practice in USA, does not mean that you don't know your stuff, be confident , I heard that they will send you the areas that you are weak, so follow them, you almos pass, start againd.

Remmember this is a country of opportunities, just wait for yours, your live will change once you pass, just think how well you wil be doing after you pass.
