ys this 1 month is very important for us.its just this 1 month of time in which we shud make all those things neccessary for our prep.but 1 month is 30 days too.so i think we will be ready.regarding scores...dont worry you have still 30 days to improve....and i'm sure we will do it.i read somewhere that positive feelings will definetly result in positive results and i feel this applies even for this exam.so lets think all postively.at the same time i feel so nervous.i think its definetly not possible to stay calm completly.lets try our best.getting low scores is really sucking.even i'm not getting goodscores when i do them randomly.
hi berk...thanks a lot for your suggestion.ys i'm trying to do as many questions as possible.reading the explainations is the most toughest part but its the most important part too....i know....now lot of explanations are waiting for me to be read.they are pending up now.i shud avoid this habbit.from tomorrow i will not do like this.read the explanations immediately.for diagrams and pictures i'm using some of the sites like webpath,netanatomy etc.but not very often.remembering all those things whichever i shud go thru just makes me so nervous.still lot of things to go thru...
ok now enuf of browsing....was browsing lot of internet since morning.will get back to my studies...

hi all :lol:
yesterday was really good.i think the exam tension is pushing me really forward.i cud complete all that i wanted to :icon_bounce: except reading the exaplainations :oops: .now i'll start the day with the exaplainations and questions.micro was really tough.remembering all the bugs was really tough.it took me so long ,i didnot expect it that it will take 4 days for me to complete micro. :roll:
yesterday i started beh sci.done with statistics from FA.now this is the subject where i'm poor at.all the questions in beh sci including doc-pt relationship,ethics,statistics....everything goes wrong.so i shud concentrate more on them. :shock: :roll: :icon_shake:
didnot have a good sleep last night and now i'm drowsy.wokeup very early though it was 1:00am in the night when i slept. :icon_sleep: :icon_sleep:
now here i go to hit my books.....but after browsing the forum....a little. :wink: :wink:
wish i have a productive day like yesterday. :P

BTW from which book do you all read the ethics and doc-pt relationship...is kaplan sufficient.it will be really good when i study but on doing Questions i totally go wrong....so weird!!!!!! :? :x :evil:

Hey kiran,
I found almost all qbank's Qs of Behav Sc directly from kap notes..thats why when I started qbank ( remember...when I first time did the qbank & hit 80%)..it was all Behav Sc 8) I think kap's notes r enough for this..but if u want u can read BRS for Health Care in US ( but,till now I didn't find any Q related with this..)..but, I know ..somebody who already took the test can answer your Q better ..

oh ya thanks a lot for your advice.actually i'm not following any other book other than kaplan for all the subjects and for patho,as usual, goljan.even i dont want to open any other new book ,at least at this last minute.ok now now i'll read from kaplan,but this time with all my heart and mind into it.hope it makes some diff for my poor scores...

goodmorning!!!
only 32 days to go....
yesterday was not good.didnot do great in my studies but did lots of questions....my Q-bank will expire in another 10 days.and i want to repeat the questions once again and i'm half way thru it.i want to do atleast the wrong ones again.now my q-bank score has raised to 63%wish i cud improve more.
and for today:-
complete beh sci and do some stuff from FA anatomy.and again lots of questions.
yesterday i was browsing the forum and other internet stuff like hell.i did it for every hal anhr and lost almost more than a hr when i sat before my computer.today i promise myself that i'll not switch on the computer again till i complete my studies...

You r doing great..but surprisingly,I did the same thing yesterday..too much net surfing..I think its bec of anxiety level..which is slowly building up...but its true..we need to limit this bad habbit !!
Your Qbank score goes up..thats v. good..when r u planning to take NBME ?

i'm planning to take NBMe on either april 16 or 17.when are you planning for?last two days were not good for me.didnot study anything yesterday.just did few questions.scoring was ok...60%
the exam tension has started.exactly 1 month to go.i can feel my palpitations.but at the same time i feel its just this nervousness which is pushing me.

good planing ,all the best for nbme.....dnt worry abt the two days u cudnt study,at times taking off really get u going
The only lesson i have taken frm my seniors is dont freak out b4 and during the exam....freak afer the exam!!!after all we can do what we can at our best to hit this exam ....no more no less
so study hard ,dont think abt the date ...just revise,revise and revise and we are all here praying for yr good scores

i completed beh sci from kaplan but shud do it from FA still.will do it tomorrow.i'm feeling very tired now...infact sleepy. :icon_sleep: :icon_sleep:
my next subject is pathology along with physio. :roll: :shock:
my Q-bank will expire on 15th.i'm still scoring in around 60.so worried about that....just feel like depressed when i get such low scores... :oops: :roll: :shock:

apparently, qbank doesn't have that strong correlation with your actual score. REmember, imbebo was scoring in the 60s in qbank and he came out with a solid 94. he also had nbme scores below average. Someone else in the exam experience forum was scoring 75-85 on Qbank and ended with a 82 on the real thing. Go figure. I wish that guy took the nbme to see the correlation...
anyways, good luck studying, keep hitting it hard, and don't give up. Only a few more weeks to go.

your postings make really feel good.yes now i wont worry for the q-bank scores though i try hard for the next couple of days to score high.thanks berk for encouraging me.
will get back to my books now.....
study hard my friends.we shud hit the exam hard.....just a matter of 1 month...if we can work hard now then we can relax later on...and as the saying goes...hard work will pay off.so work hard as much as possible.

hello everyone!!!
just promised myself that i'll not write in my dairy till i complete patho.but it seems that i'm not going to complete it in the near future.i'm stuck with cvs since 2 days!!!!.but doing a good no:of questions that too because my subscription is going to end in another 6 days.i shud still go thru 30% of question bank.planning to do 200 Q today and did 100.another 100 before going too bed.
i dont feel concentrated and this makes me so frustated....i'm not doing any other thing except handling my books all day but still i cant turn the pages fastly.i just di a couple of pgs in cvs!!!
any help plz!!!!

your revisions. I know I did towards the end of my exam but theres really no point. Trust me on this--you'll see when you take your exam. Just go your pace but make sure your getting down the material...none of this, "I'll get back to this later, or I'll memorize this later." Make sure you try your hardest to memorize as much as possible and get the stuff down cold, because you don't know when your are going to get to review it again.

i'm really thankful for all ur advices.they encourage me a lot.you really boost my confidence up!!!!ya i'll not rush now.today my target for this night is to complete cvs and then go over smaller chapters like skin,musculoskeletal and cns and then do 100 Q from Q-bank.day by day i'm becoming more nocturnal.i shud stop this habit or else it will cost me a lot on the big day.i think there is still a lot of time for me to change my habit.

i completed my target no:of questions.got 80% in biochem but only 62% randomly.hmmm... :roll: :evil:
completed cvs but i'm very tired now and will get back to my books in the morning!!! :P
so tomorrow the first thing in the morning is read all the ex-plainations of the question that i've done now and then do another set of 50 Q and move on to my patho with musculoskeletal and skin and then respiratory. :x :evil:

yesterday i did 125 Q from Q-bank.and thats it.nothing more than that.cud not study pathology.
my aim for today is to do 175 Q and then do some pathology.
today i got up early at 4:30.so i'm a bit drowsy today.so before hitting questions i will take a short nap.

feel like the journal forum is not lively as before.what happened to all of you?....niti,moc,krushna,rox......i think all of you are burried in the books.just remember the days when we used to motivate each other and now......
well anyways,i will continue writing my dairy even if i get support or not....as i have stated in my first post in this dairy....this dairy is for me....

i did 100 Q yesterday and am still left with 200 Q and 2 days left.started doing FA seriously.

I think we all are around,atleast i come here as always .You know what ,i am just get dumb to arite in diary.I need a major break to write sometihing.Now its been long time i am studying,want some major change in my scores or my study progress.But somehow ,i dont have anything now.As i have decided to revise and take NBME after that.I need to revise theory plus qbank questons till then.
Sad part of story is i still haven't got orange permit.I know i was late to apply.(I applied after talking with you,thanks ,or i would have not got may slot.)
Anyway,i think i am more discussing negative things.Sorry.... 
Ye,one thing we need is to be positive in life .
So i am just continuing with my readng ,and hoping a good score in NBME.

I remember I used to go to the dairy forum religiously and it did help to have all the support. Just remember that your doing great. Keep hitting it hard and prepare for your nbme like its the real exam....
FA is great, I wish I used it sooner but I just felt like there were so many books to read and I didn't want to re-read another book.
keep up the hard work! it'll pay off in the end.

i'm almpost done with Q bank....and my average is 64%.rt now i;m concentrating more on FA.i need to finish it before i take nbme.did 25 pgs yesterday.
today i shud complete the patho section in it...so that i can feel that the bulk of the book is over.
ok will get back to my books now.

i think you are having a great time in europe.which places have you been to in europe?when will you be back?just forget about the scores for time being and enjoy your trip.

I have a question. I read FA between my 1st and 2nd reading (only for my second reading I read Kaplan Organ system Review). But I feel I messed up because I had a goal of pages to read a day. Now, when i go back to it...I feel like "Ohhhh! I already read this and I forgot!" Like it didn´t make any good. You know what I mean? I think FA is not meant to look over but to memorize.
Wht do you guys think?
PS: 64% average means you´re ready to pass the actual thing right?

you are exactly right.FA is pure memorisation.just reading once is not sufficient.and also everyone says we must read it cold.
i know 64% is just a pass mark.so i'm worried a lot.my exam is just 3 weeks away.
