Nobody wanna give us a job. As i know thr r alot of other doctors like me ,Its a very serious problem that weIMG r facing. :!: Please anybody who read my message help me and other IMG in getting out of this problem .

Can you pass the tests for Medical Assistant or even Physician Assistant, or Nursing? Is your local hospital hiring? Even if you start as a transporter, research assistant, it would get you in the door and hopefully on your way to your dream.

Hi roohul, You said that you took usmle step 1 about a month ago, why do you think about giving it all up now? you are half-way there! I am an IMG and I had to work and study, it's hard, but with some support doable. Don't give up. :!:

Well due to this web site i got new friends like u,as says -a friend in need is a friend indeed, thanks for response,as u know that to become a doctor is not easy -no matter from whr u graduate. We studied and let our enjoyment and other funs of life on a side and took hold of books, got graduated and got some dreams which lead us to this level, and after that we r all facing a wall of ECFMG, which is getting difficult with time.As i see in the year 2002 the passing rate ?fell to 69%.and i think it will go down.Getting more difficult with time.we all doctors need to do something. Bring some changes in this system.Like this alot of doctors are disturbed, and with time think the same like me.

Roohul, where did you go to the medical school? As for ECFMG, do not look at that as a wall, look at that as a bridge to the new world. Who says it should be easy to cross?

Roohul, your story is just like mine. I was a cashier in a grocery store too. I wanted to get into a nursing school, they never answer my email or call me back as they promised. I got an interview for a phlebotomy position, they said they were not hiring a physician for that. So far, my medical diploma has closed more doors than it has opened. And all I want is to be close to the medical field. I am not going to lie in my resume. Medicine is a demanding career, and truth be told, the farther you get away from it, the more difficult it will be to come back. Please don't give up. Keep trying. My philosophy is that where someone has succeeded, I can;and if no body did , I will. Doesn't work all the time but is worth trying.
