Assuming a pt visit his physician because of an STD infection he got while on a business trip. If the pt's wife calls the physician inquiring if her husband has STD, what shld the physician do?

The answer is C without an iota of doubt. The physician cannot disclose the patient's details without authorization.
If however the STD is a reportable disease, physician must inform the requisite authority.
