dear friends, well...what can i say except that i took the most dreadful exam today. i was scheduled for 9am, but ended up getting to the site early and began the exam by 8:15am. so, i was able to get out early. took like 5-7min breaks between blocks...i was able to finish most blocks w/like 5-7 minutes left. i got out a bit early as well. as for what was the on the exam...i had a little bit of everyting. nothing too heavily weighted nothing not included. embryo and histo was minimal though. i felt like the exam was all over the place. the question stem weren't too long as i had dreaded. but, what was killing me was that i had to look up normal lab values a lot.....and that was taking up time. i think i'm too numb from the whole experience...that i don't know what else to really say. i walked out of there mostly relieved that i was over...but i know a big part of me is worried that i may not pass. but another part keeps hoping and praying that i did pass. it felt like another qbank exam...but then, i haven't had the greatest performance in qbank. one thing i did realize, studying for it more....wouldn't have changed much. cause some of those questions were just too detailed for me and some, i had no idea what the heck was going on. for some reason, goljan didn't speak to me (as he had for others who've taken the exam already). pharm was way too detailed than i had expected....oh, and one thing did piss me off, i had two questions in two separate blocks w/a gross image of the cranial nerves...the image was so horrible, i couldn't quite tell if the arrow was pointing at cn 2 or what...it was just a horrible picture. and for some reason, most of my clinical vignettes had to do w/car accidents and injuries. ok, i'm gonna go watch a movie.......hopefully everything will work out. good luck with ur studies....for those that were rooting me on...thank u so much guys.

don't think about the exam otherwise you'll keep thinking that you did bad, i am sure you did well, you put your hard work into it, and it'll pay off. Wish you all the best and congrats on being done.....

I took the exam yesterday too and yes the questions were not that lengthy lots of pictures and yes binz goljan was there talking to me about apoptosis and caspases - and cytomegalovirus - and cardiac pathology - there really were out of this world questions on molecular biology so i moved on to topics that i was familiar with and dealt with them rather than waste time on those questions that nobody knew where they came from. I did not have cranial nerves but i got brachial plexus and most of the images in my test were clear. I just feel tremendous relief that its done congratulations to you from one examinee to another - WE DID IT! now the waiting starts for us.
