hi guys, I failed step 1 in October last year, it was terrible experience...I took it again on July 31st. I got a mix of everything on it. Difficulty of qs was right, similar to those from Kaplan, NBME, Blackwell ect. A lot of graphs and photos of gross patho, few CT's an MRI's concentrating on anatomy and neuroanatomy. I had a funny micro. Funny because i had at least 7-10 qs asking about naisseria and another 8-10 asking about enterobacteria. It was mix of micro-immuno-pharm-patho. So because I new them well i got lucky. Finally today I check oasis and i found that i passed. Guys I am so happy.... I graduated in 1988, long time ago, so most of the stuff for step one was new since i had them in med school, a lot of changes since that time.... Also I am working full time like many of you, supporting family and so on...I was studying 4-5 hour daily using Kaplan home study kit lipincot's boiochem and pharm, lange's micro, BRS physiology, patho and behavioral. Most of the knowlage and very useful info I got from Goljan's lectures and notes, and I will tell you, this guy is right in every word he said. Fact that i passed is mostly because of I learned from him. Most of the qs I had on the exam is in his lectures, high-yealds ect... So my advice is listen him as often as you can and have high-yealds always with you. I got a lot of help from this forum, fact that the others are in the same bout help me a lot, so thank you all for all your advice, thank you for keeping this forum running. Robal Any qs I will be more than happy to answer.

Maybe a lot of people don't realize, but it is heck of difficult to work full time and study, too. So "square" congratulations! Way to go ! Good luck with everything else and all the best to you and your family! A.
