"ally2med" wrote: HI bbb, I have seen a thread on a different forum stating that PDs will find out about the programs that you applied to BEFORE submitting their ranking list. This can be a problem if you are applying to more than one specialty which I intend to do. Can you clarify this for me, please? Also, somebody clamed that applying to a high number of programs can undermine your chances as well. I can't really believe it but I have to ask... Thanks a lot. Ally This has come up in recent years and it is so NOT TRUE!!!!! Please tell me what forum that is on because I'll go there and let them know that it's not true. If you don't submit your list until the last day and a program submits their list first, how would they know what you are doing????? Programs can't see what the applicants are doing, and applicants can't see what programs are doing. The same as it has been since I started working in IM in 1988.

Thanks for the thread Ally - I posted my two cents. Although with this forum and another helping IMG's (and the groups that I hang with for non-medically related highly important persons), I don't need another place to hang out on the internet.
