what is the time limit for registering in ERAS..?.. :?:
i am planning to take CK on oct 21..ans CS on dec 12th...
i am wondering if i can register for 2005 match?..i am not able to understand the process.. if i get token for ERAS now and register..there will be only step 1 score..in addition to personal statement etc.. :oops:
should i send transcripts and deans letter by post to be scanned?..i don't have LORS now..can i send them later say november or december?.. :?:
Do i still have any chance to match?? please explain me the process.. :roll:

Anu, u surely have the chance to match for 2005. and even if u get a bit late, remember there is always a post-match scramble. so dont get upset.
yeah--u can send dean's letter and transcripts for scanning, and send LORs later. for eras registration, u may register and work on ur application, and apply to programs when u get step2 score. there is probably no time limit for registering to eras, but u need to register for nrmp by dec.

All the best for ur exams..i know u will do well..
My transcripts and degree are already verified by ECFMG..will ERAS verify again?. :roll: . .after getting ERAS token , what should i do in My ERAS page?.. :?: typing personal statement and then send my deans letter and transcripts photocopies?..or should i send originals.
if i apply after my step 2 score say november, will ERAS start sending to programs?..CS result mandatory before?....please forgive my ignorance :oops:

send photocopies, you might want to bring the originals during your interviews. Anything sent to ERAS will be shredded after scanning. You can start applying to programs even with only step 1 and CK scores. They are more lenient this year about CS since this is the first year for that, as long as you take CS by Dec no problem. But for interviews, make sure you have CK and Step 1 scores already. Hope this helps.

Thanx Anu for ur wishes, i surely need them. Doods has already answered many of your Qs. As ECFMG has already verified our transcripts, I hope ERAS wont do that again. After getting token, register on MyEras, fill in the application, and profile. You can write ur personal statement and select programs where you want to apply. Also write names of people whose LORs you may be sending, on MyEras.
