hi to all in this forum!
is HY Neuroanatomy book good for the exam ??Kaplan's neuro is 150 pages. :shock: without any diagrams..
a question about the limbic system?what the hell is happening there.Why should i know Papez circuit??Any question about limbic system???

HY neuro is great if you already have a foundation in Neuroanatomy.
Also yes -usmle could ask a q on the limbic or papez system!
Limbic system consist of the hippocampus, fornix, amygdala, etc.
It may give motor expression to emotions,thru smiling or gesturing or adoption of an agressive or submissive posture. The loop is rich in dopamine nerve endings and their decline may be responsible for the mask like facies of Parkinsonism.
