probably has to do with mediation in the lungs by bradykinin,substance p or protaglandin. But for usmle your probably better off just knowing general mechanism of action and general side effects of all drugs.

yep..it is the persistence of bradykinin in lungs. as well as systemically, causing angioedema in some cases.

Addendum-First thing that hit my brain cells "bradykinin"-it was Goodman /Gillman who threw in Substance p and prostaglandin
