Hi everyone,
I took the step 1 just a week ago. After the exam I felt relieved but as the time passes I feel really nervous because I had to do several guesses.
I surprised that I got more stadistics questions, no fewer than 5 or 6 and I only could do one for sure. A lot of questions about behaviour, most of them about doctor-patient relationship (what to do next...which is the best answer for the patient...) Not so many about biochemistryand 2 of them were urea cicle. Most of questions were straight to the answers and there weren't many that needed multiple steps of thinking to reply them, whereas in step 2 there were a lot or most of them. I got also many of anatomy questions. I remember that one of them I had to point where was the cranial nerve that the patient had damaged according a clinical picture described. Questions about microbiology were straight to and easier that I did in Qbank. Well those are the differences that I've found from others. The rest you know...many physio and patho. I forget to tell you that there were many graphics especially in pharmaco.
I am not confident aout my perfomance and only I want is PASS not caring how much it would be because I am not sure if I could do it better in the next time. I only pray to pass.

well u r done so relax for now. i will pray for your success. so i gathered that u have taken step2 prreviously. i have already passed step2 also and now preparing for step1 and planning on takin in oct -nov so what do u think: was it helpful that u took step2 earlier? also what drugs where given with graphs in pharm section?

hi dxtxpx,
I took last year Step 2. The exam format of Step 1 is different from Step 2. You need more knowledge of Step1 to answer Q of Step 2 and not the opposit way.
The drugs most tested are autonomic and the graphics are about them (you need to intepret them). Some of cardiovascular.
I hope you can do it well and I need all luck so thank you for your support.
