Ulcerative colitis has lower incidence with cigarette smoking.
Not sure about PSC... considering that it is sometimes associated w/ UC...

UC incidence decreases in smokers, PBC is associated with UC so maybe that is decreased too and the incidence is also decreased in alzheimers (if i read another thread correctly)

So all of the above?

  #8

so it's only b? mjl1717, what's your ans?

The original answer was all 3!
Im definitely sticking to my guns with P.S.C. and U.C.! (page 659 in CMDT)
The jurys still out with Alzheimers(dont worry they wont associate Alzheimers with or without smoking on USMLE-because of that article there is too much conflict).
Hey bluecat -do you have a reference for the Parkinson association with smoking?? I would think of "ANYTHING" associated with Parkinson being front page info or a headliner.
