I used Step 1 Qbook prior to my exam and found it to be a good resource for review. Currently, I'm using Step 2 CK Qbook. So far, I've come across two mistakes and will continue to post them in case I further do so. Internal Medicine Test Seven Question 20 - Explanations The JNC Hypertension Stages included in the book is JNC6. Current guidelines in diagnosis and management of hypertension have been changed in the 7th JNC Report. They have combined Stage II and Stage III. For further information, please use the link below: http://jama.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/full/289.19.2560v1 Internal Medicine Test Seven Question 5 - Explanations "Bronchiectasis" should not have been one of the choices in the question. Bronchitis and bronchiectasis are the most common causes of hemoptysis. Of course, it could be argued that chronic bronchitis is more common than bronchiectasis. Yet, generally, in most textbooks, they both are considered equally common. Every review/question book has some errors. One of the most important aspects to question books is their likeliness to the real exam both content-wise and structure-wise. I haven't yet taken the test so I can't comment on that, but I must admit that Qbook perked up my studies and brought in a fresh inertia.

even I have the same question. Do they use the same q's in the q bank and q book? Is Ck review (2300 q's for $499) better or the qbank that most people seem to be doing?

Hi! I have to thank you for the findings errors, as all textbooks or any book at some level have these kind of cookies. I assume that, no any book is quite enough for usmle-prep. I failed the step 1, few months ago. I think that was lack of my part for the preparation, but let me tell you, there was questions formats that you can`t expect to find in any book. I think you have to improvise and combine as much as knowledges you can get from different books , and try do mix all of that help you to make your own type of questions as detailed as you can. Emphasize on the subjects that your are weaken on. God Bless.

Kaplan's official policy is that their questions NEVER overlap.. (book bank and assesment test questions never repeat). Although I have personally seen some repeat questions, it was only 3-4 out of the thousands of questions.

i found a good source of review in this 2ck QBook, but of course I think it´s better to do other MCQs like QB kaplan or UW, but if you have time it´s a good choice.

my advice is first do Qbook, then kaplan qbank and then UW. this way ur raising your level. if u do UW first then u will not be prepated for UW and also after having used up the best ?s where do u go? in the order i have recommended u are gonna have done the best ?s, the UW, closest to your exam date when it will be fresh. for step 1 i did qbank 1st then qbook. i should have done qbook 1st. i also recommend between these 3 ? sources read the kaplan notes, do the videos and/or boards and wards or crush the boards for step 2 (aka crush step 2 i think.) i was told the FA for step 2 is not as good as step 1. also crush and B&W are not complete sources but rather hi yield sources but i feel easily more than half of the ?s can be answered from these sources. also take notes from ur mistakes from these questions. but make them as brief as possible.
