I am currently attending the kaplan live prep in Chicago, and I just thought i'd drop you people a line since I post here on and off. The course is pretty good, but i feel the BEST thing about it is being in the environment where everyone is studying. The best advice for anyone that is ever planning to take courses like this is to READ THE STUFF beforehand... Most people that attend the course haven't read the stuff, so when they cover it in the lectures they get totally lost. Another benefit of reading the stuff beforehand is that I am getting the opportunity to TEACH people on their first reading (Teaching by far is the best way to study, i must of taught the life cycle of hep b six times yesterday)...
Anyaway, even though i am done with my first reading, teaching students and stuff, I can't break the 70% barrier in qbook (I'm getting in the 60's though my kaplan simulated was a sad 55%), but i am trying to keep faith.. I still have 7-8 weeks before my exam... but i wanted to drop a line to let anyone who cares (and anyone who doesn't) how I was doing... cuz when this course is finished (in October), I'm gonna need all the help i can get. Is there anyone recording the lectures? Or is there anyway for me to get a copy? Are they the same lectures that are on video tape available at the kaplan center?

Hi Adeel,
That was a nice decription of Kaplan Live lectures, and as you say the best way to learn is teaching.

I don't know of anyone recording the lectures... and there are sooooo many questions asked during the lectures that it would be very hard to follow... i haven't done the video but i've heard that only behavioural and anatomy are the same teachers.... all the other onees aare different...
