1. If my patient is in ICU and the case ends, should I change IV orders to oral or do the counseling as I would do at the time of discharge?
2. In office setting, do I need to counsel him on every visit or just once (including the smoking, alcohol, drug, sex and drive counseling)?

Exam in 2 days. Please advise urgently!!

I would not change the iv to po... cause you have no info that we don't need iv any more all you know is the case has stopped. also my advice is since this is an exam and you are seeing the pt always counsel on things that are negative that the pt is doing..like smoking, multiple sex partners, HbA1c is elevated... this will get you some points...

thanks for the advice man..Do you have any idea about the problem I'm having while entering multiple orders at once in USMLE Step 3 orientation material CCS practice. In UW CCS, I can mention multiple orders, but not in this.
Leme know if you have some idea. Thanks.
